As previously noted, VP wannabe Sarah Palin has taken to using her index finger during public gatherings and speeches. It flies in the face of established political norms. But waving it, pointing it and shaking it front of running mate John McCain, maverick Palin seems to enjoy its versatile use.

Just more proof that this Republican stealth weapon has no idea what she's doing or the stage upon which she's walking. I always thought it odd that politicians had, seemingly en masse, given up the finger wagging until I saw her revive the technique and now I understand. It is a gesture that strongly evokes the adult talking to the child and I'll tell you, I don't want a woman who only got a passport last year talking to me like I'm a child.
